Elements and Performance Criteria
- Maintain food safety while working in a food handling area
- Read or listen to work instructions from supervisor and clarify where needed
- Identify health and safety hazards in the workplace and inform supervisor
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and ensure correct fit
- Identify and follow food safety requirements related to work tasks
- Carry out work responsibilities so that the safety of food is maintained
- Identify and report procedures or practices which are inconsistent with requirements of the workplace food safety program
- Maintain food handling area in clean and orderly state
